Being a monkey owner is NOT for everyone, it is for a rare type of person. And in a magical fantasy land, maybe it would be fun, like going on a unicorn ride through a rainbow. At present, Monkeyland is home to around 450 primates that roam the forest. At one point, Panda paused, waited for a car to pass, then veered into the road to avoid a group of children running toward them swinging glow sticks. These primates are kept in barren steel cages after being bred specifically for experiments or ripped out of their homes in the wild. HVS A-11 strongly induced the expression of tyrosine kinase Lyn. Currently there are around 264 known species of monkeys found around the world.
Angiullid herpesvirus 1 (Japanese eel HV), Cyprinid herpesvirus 1 (Carp pox HV), Cyprinid herpesvirus 2 (Hematopoietic necrosis HV of goldfish), Ictalurid herpesvirus 1 (Channel catfish), Acipenserid herpesvirus 1 (White sturgeon herpesvirus 1). 5- Wild animals need care by individuals knowledgeable about their specific needs (nutritional, behavioural, social, and environmental). Chances are, upon reaching adolescence, pet monkeys will become unmanageable, unpredictable and dangerous as they try to assert themselves and as their natural instincts kick in and they do not know what to do with them. Simply being born in captivity does NOT mean domestication! It shouldn’t even need to be stated that anything higher up like gibbons, chimps, orangs, and gorillas are far too dangerous, to you and the people around you, to be kept as pets. Even small monkeys can be dangerous as they are strong, quick and clever. In order to be kept as pets, primates are usually taken from their mothers as infants – whereas they would naturally depend on their mothers for long periods of time, and would maintain close bonds for years.
Most people are infected through bites or scratches. Why would you support an industry that pulls infants from mothers well before weaning age despite the firm evidence that this is acutely damaging?
